Commentary

Water is the foundation of life, of our planet, of our society. Civilization as we know it depends on clean, drinkable water. Realize we are not near crisis, we are in a water shortage crisis. Nation wide 35 states are currently experiencing a water crisis, Texas included. 30% of all water use is for landscaping. Demand and cost of water will continue to escalate and restrictions will further mandate how this precious resource is to be used. At Earthwerks these facts are on the forefront of our minds when we consider planting schemes for our designs. We as stewards of our natural resources have a responsibility to future generations to reserve water now.

Who We Are

Earthwerks is a landscape design and build firm based in Spicewood, Texas.

Earthwerks is owned and managed by Michael and Diane Northcutt, supported by a group of creative individuals with specialized skills in scale drawings, naturalistic boulder placement, masonry, woodworking, metal and concrete fabrication.

What We Do

At Earthwerks we design and construct outdoor spaces that catch the eye and are recognizable as innovative and distinctive, not mediocre.

We conceive and create designs that extend beyond any generic expectations, designs that blur the line between indoor and outdoor living.
